2026 CIAA Annual Conference

The CIAA Annual Conference brings together insurance accountants from across Canada for three days of meaningful professional development, industry dialogue, and genuine connection. Beyond the sessions and panels, it is an opportunity to share ideas, tackle the challenges facing our industry, and reconnect with colleagues old and new. There is truly no other event like it in our field.

Our 2025 conference in Quebec City reminded us just how powerful it is to bring this community together, and we are already looking forward to doing it again. We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 CIAA Annual Conference, headed east to the bold and beautiful city of St. John's, Newfoundland.

Our 2026 conference theme is "Tides of Transformation," reflecting the waves of change reshaping our industry and the resilience and adaptability of the professionals navigating them.

The event kicks off with a Sunday evening dinner reception and awards celebration, a perennial favourite. On Monday, we launch into day one with an opening keynote from Amanda Lang, award-winning business journalist, Chief Financial Correspondent for CTV News, host of Taking Stock, and bestselling author, followed by our renowned CEO and CFO panels, a Reinsurance panel, M&A discussion, and sessions on Canada's evolving regulatory landscape.

Day two brings a timely session on AI Ethics, a Chief Economist address, and our AGM, before transitioning into an exciting afternoon of social activities and a vibrant evening in the heart of St. John's.

The conference concludes on day three with a Next Generation panel and a Tax Update, back by popular demand, capped off by a closing keynote from Mike Downie, celebrated documentary filmmaker, philanthropist, and co-founder of the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund.

Join us in St. John's, Newfoundland from September 13-16, 2026, for a conference that blends dynamic professional programming with unforgettable social experiences, bringing together industry professionals from coast to coast.

We can't wait to welcome you there!

This year, we are offering two options for guest pricing, please ensure to complete a second separate registration with your selected companion ticket if you are bringing a guest.
