Continuous education is the cornerstone of the CIAA’s mission. Each year we strive to organize events that will capture the attention of Members and encourage their participation.
Annual Insurance Accounting Course
This introductory course is conducted in June of each year at McMaster University in Hamilton. Sixty to 80 students learn the nuts and bolts of insurance accounting to earn a Certificate of Achievement and get the opportunity to network with financial colleagues. Stay tuned.
Seminars/Luncheon Speakers
Every year, the CIAA hosts regular seminars and luncheon speakers in Toronto on topics of interest to Members. The seminar leaders are experts in the insurance field and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.
Annual Conference
This flagship event brings together members, speakers, presenters and exhibitors from across Canada to meet, learn and network. Workshops and plenary sessions give participants an opportunity to learn about developments and trends in the insurance world. Attention is also given to a first-class social program that takes advantage of the city we visit.
Staying Ahead of the Curve
(Advanced Course)
Twenty to 30 students gather every two years to hone their skills and
increase their levels of proficiency in financial management. It is designed
to help you understand where the industry is going, the challenges facing
professionals and how you can prepare. A certificate is awarded upon successful
completion of the Advanced course.
